Female Veiled

I just got a female veiled bc no spur and she's couple months old. I just want to be prepared for having a female. Do they always have to lay eggs (infertile)or can some females just never lay eggs? Also if she does ever lay eggs will they hatch even if they are "infertile"? And if they don't what should I do with them? And I have a umbrella plant with soil so is that good so if she ever wants to lay the eggs? Thanks ahead of time.

Not all female veileds start producing eggs, but its not a huge problem to be prepared in case she does. If she never sees or interacts with a male she may not produce an infertile clutch...just hard to say. Don't overfeed her after she's about 6 months old, and keep her on the cooler end of the species' temperature range. Um, no, unfertilized eggs can't hatch, as no embryo will develop. There's no point in keeping the infertile eggs...they'll just mold eventually. Most gravid chams won't automatically make use of a plant pot to lay their clutch unless it happens to be a huge one with a lot of the right soil. I'd suggest reading the care articles located under the Resources tab above for ideas for laying bins.
