ficus elastica and dieffenbachia

I would say no, particularly for any chameleon that might chew on plants (Veileds are more likely but why risk it). Both have irritating saps. I actually ate some dieffenbachia when I was 2 or 3 years old and still remember how much it burned my mouth and throat.

A def NO to Dieffenbachia; I am one of the few who does not see any danger in the rubber tree, Ficus elastica, but I don't keep veiled chams either. Best to pass on both.

are ficus elastica and dieffenbahchia safe to use with my vield and jacksons?

Ficus is OK (the sap can irritate eyes, but there would have to be broken branches or torn leaves to expose the sap) many keepers have used Ficus species for years without issues. Dieffenbachia is a no-no for anything that might chew on it.
