Ficus harmful fore veileds?

I believe its the sap that ficuses can execrete that can be irritating to chameleons, but they are safe to eat,as long as its washed, repotted, ect...

Which type of ficus. Benjamin ficus is one of the canonical recommended plants for cham enclosures.
