Figured my Mystery out!

So Ezio seems to have been reluctant to eat lately and pretty much since I have got him. He drinks very well and I catch him drinking from his dripper up to 4 times a day since I got him. Well I figured it out! He has been eating but barely at all. And I figured out why he won't eat. He must be either 1. Scared of his feeder, which I just set up a new one for him today. 2. He doesn't know how to use it or know that anything is in there. Anyway I started to feed him directly and letting his crickets walk over his leaves. He goes right after them! I set one on his fake leaf and he ran across the entire enclosure. lol He ate 5 crickets, 1 tiny Super Worm, and.....His First tiny dubia!! he went to town on that thing! Saw it, took him about twenty seconds to really get a good look and shot and destroyed it. Very proud of little Ezio today and now that I figured this out he will be eating like crazy! So glad! Just though I would share that with you guys because I had been having trouble with him eating the past few days.

Awesome! I'm still free-ranging my crix I've tried a mid-sized cup and they both just look at it and then look at me like, "yeah, we see 'em, but ain't happening, boss!" Ungrateful chits!

Well that is what is irritating about it. I can't just put crickets in and leave because Isabellas old cage that I currently using for him has a couple of holes in the screen that the small crickets can get through, so I have to sit there and hand feed him basically one by one lol annoying!

Well if your hand feeding him that gets him more used to you!!! I love hand feeding mine or at least the two that will eat from my hand. My panther morph will look at the cup as I hold it near him but not budge. But as soon as I set it down on the bottom of his enclosure and close the door and back away he runs down and feasts...is it a clear cup your using? I use a small clear glass tumbler. The crix can't climb it and ralphie can see them moving in it

Yeah I really enjoy hand feeding, Isabella being 6 moths old now will eat from my hand and crawl right out onto my forearm to get it lol but Ezio won't eat directly from my fingers yet but he will go ahead and eat if I just set it by him on the leaf. He is very good about that from what I was witnessing. And for his feeder it is a clear peanut container cut out like Isabellas which is half of a Half gallon of milk. But I made it so he can't see through it by putting leaves all around it to disguise it like I did for Isa. Works well for her so I don't understand. Maybe he just isn't old enough to understand

That's so funny how opposite they are in that department. They all have such unique individual personalities they're just as in depth as we humans are. There isn't a day that goes by that they don't make me laugh at their uniqueness. Maybe Ezio is a fearless bounty hunter out on a mission to attack and eat all escapee crix. Where as Isa is a dainty princess that likes her crix served in a dish so she doesn't have to exert her beautiful energy on peasant crickets hahaha;-p

LMAO sounds about right with Isabella. Every single time I go into my room and to the front of her cage, she goes straight down and waits for me to open the door with food ha Pampered much?

I don't have any female animals in my house so it's kinda princess free zone around here lol..no clue what gender the tortoise is tho, anybody out there know how to determine gender of Russian tortoise? I'm hoping to get a female Cham sometime just to balance out the hormones around here some.

Yeah shes my baby girl for sure. I bought Ezio to even out the balance too lol Hopefully I will breed them and get more babies.
