its been about 7 an ahalf months and one of my babies hatched today, first time ever its exciting! anyways i am wondering about the utmost care of these things. ( wow my girlfriend just dropped him omg) anyway please give me some tips, i hav about a 3 month old uvb light on him, damp paper towel for bedding, and its in a 10 gal glass aquarium. i am going to the pet shop to look for maybe a low wattage heat lamp. I NEED YOUR ADVICE!!!

Glass is fine for now. Put some small plants in with him. Keep misting him. They can dehydrate quickly. Get some fruit flys asap. And some pinhead crix. If you go with any heat make sure its a very low watt incandescent like 20 watt max and keep it off the scrren top a bit so it won't get too hot. Some don't use heat til they are past the delicate first few weeks.

Just out of curiosity it seems like you were expecting these babies. Why would you not do any research before these babies hatched?

What kind of uvb do you have? Is it a coil or linear style bulb?

ooo believe me

ive already studied up on these fellers prolly more than i needed to. im just new to this site, new to breeding, and just want all the info i can get while i still can about raising these creatures. I've been kinda hesitant on knowing if or not these babies were going to hatch. i've been cooking them at 79-80 with a 10 degree drop at night. a week ago i found out all the people on here were just leaving them at a constant temperature. i did the same and a week later (yesterday) i opened up the container to find a hatchling. i wasnt sure if keeping the temp at a consistent temperature might throw everything off. i hav him in a 10 gal. tank 40 watt heat bulb, flourescent uvb, also i just purchased a humidifier (fogger) since it seems moistures the key. i also purchased fruit flies. now my question is can u over humidify this little creature? the fog thats created even at its lowest setting seems to fog it all out. i prolly need answers to stupid questions please help
