so i've decided to finally go ahead and get a chameleon. i used to work in a pet store and i took care of a variety, that was a few years ago, but have always wanted one since. been reading a lot online and on this forum and i've already started picking up supplies for the build. I wanted to get your guys' opinion on everything before i start to make sure i'm not making any mistakes that could hard the chameleon.

Parts

Pine Corner Moulding

Fiberglass Insect Netting/ Silver Grey (home depot)

Mixwax Polyuerthane Clear Semi Gloss Spray

Nail/Staple gun

i'm also going to be building a tray that water and waste can fall into below the bottom of the cage out of acrylic.

here are photos of the netting and spray

and here's a crude drawing of what i hope the cage will end up looking like.

let me know what you guys think! thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions guys! i'll make sure to swap out the spray for the right one.

as for the netting, is there a better one that you would recommend that i can find at a hardware store? and what do you mean by don't free range them?

thanks!!

I'd suggest hardware cloth over screen. It's harder to work with but looks better in the end. The other reason why is because my chams lost toes because of the screen.
