First Dubia babies

A female dubia is having the first clutch of babies, I think? :D I love babies, they are so cute! Yes Dubia roach babies are cute :p

see second post...

Wow. Cool Can you post pics. I want to see them. I will be going to the radison april 11th for our reptile expo and I will be picking up more adult dubias. I think dubias are really cool. But noone else likes them.

Well okay now i'm confused... Well there was what looked like an egg sac with babies in it coming out and it was at least almost an inch out and then it turned to the side and she pulled it back in? Anyone know what's going on? I have never had roaches before and there is really no info on them giving birth so I have no clue... I believe it is the female I got from Dave's dragons the other day ( I had way too many males so I traded him 2 males for 2 females).

Just found this info. "that's an ootheca - live bearing roaches like dubias produce an egg case or ootheca. They push it out the back and keep it there till it hardens, then they pull it back inside and incubate it"

so what I have read its normal and they will incubate them inside after that. But i am new to dubias breeding so hopefully someone that knows more will have some input.

Ya they are I don't have many adult dubias at the moment. so I will be grabing about 100 at the expo. I also am trying to start breeding supers. Will you be going to the expo?

yeah i'm going. just need to see when it is. yeah i have aheat lamp as well as a heat pad to keep it nice and warm. i live in a cold house so i need the extra heat.
