What are your thoughts?

At the end of last year the farmer, Marao Lopez, handed the corpse over to university scientists who carried out DNA tests and scans.

He claimed that it took him three attempts to drown the creature and he had to hold it underwater for hours.

Tests revealed a creature that is unknown to scientists - its skeleton has characteristics of a lizard, its teeth do not have any roots like humans and it can stay underwater for a long time.

I looked into that a while back, and all reputable scientific consensus say its a small monkey, stripped of its skin for the purpose of making this hoax.

The sad part is that the animal is said to have been alive, put in a "bear trap". The suffering must have been unimaginable.

Why would anyone spend hours drowning something? If you are able to subdue something enough to drown it, stick it in a cage and hand it over. Regardless of what it was, its very sad that anything was treated like that.

I need to stop drinking beer! :D

BUT..if it's an alien, how do you know it couldn't hurt you from inside the cage?? But then again, how would you know it couldn't hurt you from underwater? Too many IF's.

Lol Lil, I was reading the news online and saw that story at the bottom under 'weird' heading. Had to have a look, Im a curious soul.
I dont beleive for minute its genuine, if it was real and unknown to science, and real scientist had determined its dna was not from earth, it'd be a bigger story than any before and the world would have heard about it within hours.
Probably is a very unfortunate monkey of some kind. Stranger folk on earth than in space IMO. :D
