Florida Hurricane Season

Any tips on what I should do for when power goes out? Irma hit pretty hard last year blew out transformers and everything. My mom brought home some med-choice big heating pads from her work, would those be good for his heat? Are they toxic at all? Good alternatives if they are toxic, anyone? I'm all ears!

I'm in Naples, and we were out of power for a week. I had bought a box of gloves (since you can't always wash your hands when you want when you have well water), and each morning I'd bring my beardie out to the lanai and put her in the corner that I blocked off from the cats' curious eyes. My veiled went into his ficus tree, and I'd hand mist throughout the day. If you plan on possibly evacuating, I'd place a shoebox with paper towels on the bottom and some bendy vine in it for a quick way to get out of the house.

Thank you! Yeah I'm in pasco, and we got a bit of the eye wall, power was out for a bit. :)

It depends on the species and the temps. If you have a veiled or a panther, you don't need to do anything. They will do just fine since they are living and breeding wild in Florida.
