same thing happened to me, i just let them hatch

I am not sure if it is too late but i have had my blue bottle flies for over 2 weeks now and they are doing well. they stink when hatching bu once i removed them from pupa the odor is gone. i keept them in 15 deli cups and "freeze" them till they stop moving before feeding. i have been lightly misting thier cups daily and feed them mantis places fly food. i plan to create a cage much like my chams cages to keep them in with a door that matches the size of sometype of entrance on my chams cages to improve transfer process.....still in my imagination only

Good luck

yes, I got the flies under control.. the problem is that I have about 50 of them in my chams cage.. hope that is ok.. but I made the Kammers fly food and they arent eating any of it and I am finding them dead at the bottom of the cage.. What do I do now?

i would say try to remove the dead ones. my Jackson would probably finish those off 50 flies in 2-3 days if i let her. i once lost a fly and she spent the whole day watching it till i caught it and then she got it (luck on my part)

i would be concerned about that many flies in my chams cage though. can you take it outside move you cham and release the extra flies? maybe someone else has a better idea

I use hydei flies and let roughlt 12-15 loose at a time, it keeps the cham busy for quite awhile. As far as the blue stuff called fly meat, they inject their eggs into the stuff so if you dont see anything happening wait, the hydei breed take much longer to reproduce.
