FlyFishing?

Anyone out there a flyfisherman/woman? Watching my chameleon reminds me of the stalking of gamefish. He stalks his prey, makes an accurate shot, and at more times lands his catch more than me.

I used to fish up in the Catskills in NY. Some of the best trout fishing ever!! Haven't gone here in Florida yet, but I can't wait. (Zaphod definitely has better results than I do ;))

Fly fishing since 1982. Tying flies since 1990. Building my own Spey rods since 1997.

Flyfishing is a lifelong pursuit, that has so many aspects that the learning never stops.

Nothing better than nature.

You know how to double haul?

Yep! (Probably not great at it anymore, but it comes back to you real quick.) There are some good videos for teaching it now. Back in the day my brother had to show me. I didn't get too much opportunity to use it unless we were on the lakes. I'll definitely have to practice if I'm gonna try for some tarpin on the Gulf. (Probably fall off the boat at first )

I used to love tying flies to match the hatches! Always had some extra feathers for the unexpected bugs! ;)

I love to flyfish! Though I would hardly call myself a flyfisherman! I have only delved into it a tad. Still yet to land my first trout.. Even when I live in one of the best trout states around. The majority of my experience is fishing for bass and panfish in the local lakes/ponds/rivers.

Some nice steelhead water in SE Mich.

I'm down in the Florida Keys right now. Had the fly rod in my hand today with the sun shinning on my back. What a peaceful day.

Yesterday I was driving down the overseas highway around the Marathon area and I had to do a double take. I saw a guy riding a bicycle with a large male veiled chameleon on his shoulder. He had one hand on the handlebars and it looked like his other hand was balancing a 12pk. of beer bottles on the top bar of his bicycle. No hands on the chameleon.
