Fogger on a timer

I just purchased a new reptile fogger from Amazon made by evergreen pet supplies (not sure if anything has experience w/ this fogger). I want to know how often I should run it and for how long. I can easily control when and how long it turns on using a timer as it doesn't have one built in like some foggers. I do have a screened reptibreeze cage so I know humidity is hard to maintain. I will also mist manually with a spray bottle. Let me know what y'all think. I attached a pic of the mister running in my cage

You'll have to do some trial and error to figure out how often and how long to run it. Everyone's room and cage humidity situation varies so much. First I would figure out how long the fogger will run before the water in the reservoir gets too low to run properly. Can't tell how big the reservoir is from your pic and you don't want it to run dry ever. You can control the on/off cycles with a multiple setting plug in timer. Look for one that will let you set short cycles....like 5 minutes. You probably won't want to let it fog for much longer than that each time. As you will be hand spraying, the fogger will be best used to give the humidity a boost between spray sessions (such as while you are away during the day). Remember, spraying and fogging frequency will probably change with the seasons.

As you will also be hand spraying, try this test routine....

Spray the cage thoroughly. Measure the humidity level it reaches.
Watch the humidity drop as the cage dries out.
This will tell you how long it takes to get TOO dry.
Run the fogger and watch until the humidity level goes back to where you want it to sit.
This will tell you how long the fogger will need to run to get the cage humidity back up.
Watch the humidity drop until it gets too dry again.
This will tell you how long between fog cycles.

If you will likely be home in time to hand spray the cage again, great. If not, set up another fog cycle.
