i personally have had given crikets to my cham b4 :Dbut my family hates em so ive decided to go the worm route with my recent purchase (veiled cham) and it loves em anyone else feed their cham worms or weird things theyd like to share :D

If your chameleon will eat crickets, you are doing him a favor by feeding them to him. They are the ideal feeder, being low fat, and easily gutloaded. Most of the worms cannot be gutloaded other than the supers. Most of the worms are fatty also. Most people feed worms in addition to the crickets which they use as a staple feeder. Some people feed worms because their chameleons will not eat crickets after they get a taste of the worms. If your chameleon is willing to eat the crickets, then I suggest feeding those and mixing the worms into the diet here and there. just my opinion here.

I agree with Carol.
A variety of feeders is best. No one feeder should make up more than 20% of your chameleons diet. An all larva diet is not recommended.
Crickets are easily gutloaded and inexpensive and thus are a good thing to include in a varied diet. Other options include roaches (such as dubia), stick insects, terrestrial isopods, grasshoppers, and cultured blue bottle flies. Of the larva/worm options, the best are silkworms and butterworms, with hornworms occassionally and gutloaded superworms are okay too. Here is a link to a comprehensive list of feeders, with info about each: https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/74-feeders.html

Why does the family hate crickets? is it the sound? if so, buy only female crickets, or buy only what will be eaten up quickly, or cut the wings off the male crickets.
