Foot rubbing?

Hey guys,

My 6 month old veiled boy has starting rubbing his feet on things? I noticed he started doing it on the sticks in his terrarium. Then today he did it while climbing on my arm. He just started rubbing his back foot around on my arm. It doesn't seem to bother him. And it doesn't seem as though he can't get a grip on anything, its just like he's rubbing his feet on them. It is only ever his back feet and it switches feet. He does it for about 30 seconds and then stops.

Do you think its something I should be worried about?

Thanks!
Jen

More info and a video of the foot rubbing

I couldn't figure out how to upload a video to the attachment so I just put it on youtube. Here is the link for the video of Espio rubbing his foot on the branch.

He never does this when he's on the hunt for food or when he's free ranging in the sunroom. It's only in his terrarium on his sticks. I also included a picture of him just hanging out on his sticks. His grip is good when he's not spazzing his foot. He never falls or has trouble getting places. In fact, when he was out roaming around earlier today I found him racing across the living room floor exploring new areas instead of staying in the sun room like he's always done before. And lastly here is the help form thingy.

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled chameleon. Aprox 6 months old. Been with us for about 3 months. Male.
Handling - Briefly when bringing him out of his terrarium to the sunroom. Never for more than a minute or two. I try to bring him out on his plant, but when he sees me coming up to him he knows I either have food or he gets to get out of his terrarium and he starts trying to climb out the door.
Feeding - He's been having mainly crickets while with us, but we just started introducing small superworms and we are going to try flies soon too.
Supplements - His food is dusted with calcium w/o d3 everyday. Calcium w/ d3 twice a month and Reptivite twice a month.
Watering - We have a mister that goes off about 4 times a day and I spray his leaves every day.
Fecal Description - Brown poop, white urate. Poops every day to every other day
History - N/A

Cage Info:
Cage Type -Glass terrarium. 18 X 18 X 24. Now that he is getting bigger I'm going to try and build an extension to the terrarium to make it bigger for him.
Lighting - Basking bulb 75 wt house bulb and a uvb bulb.
Temperature - Basking temp about 87-89, ambient is about 78 during the day. At night it drops to around 65ish. Temps taken with a temp gun.
Humidity - Humidity around 30 and peaking around 70 during misting
Plants - 1 live plant. I think they called it a corn plant? It was on the safe plant list.
Placement - Cage is on a table in a little alcove in the living room. It's pushed back away from the main part of the room

Location - Fort Collins, CO

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.

I think that is normal. Sometimes it is considered a side effect of MBD, which is not being able to tell branches from limbs and therefore grabbing onto themselves and falling, but this just looks as if he is unsure where the branch is. I think it's relatively normal.

If he does it a lot, maybe something might be up, but that seems like a normal thing..

Anyway, as for your terarrium, unless you live somewhere a) really cold b) really dry, then you need to only use a screen cage.

That cage is probably too small for him in a month or two and you'll need AT LEAST a 24x24x48 inch screen cage. That is the minimum.

For adult chameleons you cannot use glass cages *unless* at least the top and door are screen and ventilated, at least that's what everyone says.
