Found this worm in his outside cage. Safe?

So I was cleaning my boy’s cage this morning and I found this worm. When I moved it around he spit out some neon green liquid. I’m not planning on feeding him the worm since I’d like to avoid a parasite problem, but I’m concerned as to where this came from, if there could be more in there, and what would have happened if he ate it.

His cage is outside but it’s all protected with a screen to keep bugs out. I’ve had a hibiscus in there for about 3-4 weeks now and am wondering if it came from the store with the worm. I cleaned the plant so good though. When i change them to organic soil I usually wash out all the roots and the whole plant so I dont understand how he wouldn’t have been washed away.

Anyone know what this is?

to me It looks like an army worm. I'm not sure how safe they are for chameleons all I know is that they can carry parasites and other things from the wild so it might be best to inspect the enclosure for more, since armyworms are such a general feeder, it really could have come from anywhere. all I know is that they multiply like crazy so kill it or something because you definitely don't want an infestation.
