Thank you! ill keep searching. She really doesnt look as bad as she does in the pictures. My phones camera makes her seem real brown when she is actually green which makes me suspect that she is moderately happy. She doesnt seem to be in any pain like people are saying.

broken limbs hurt, they cant show painful expression like people and dogs can.

and just because shes green, doesnt mean shes happy. they dont always change colors when in pain.

It's not so much the color that concerns me but moreso the lack of energy she has. In the picture she is laying down flat (it seems outside) when in fact that is not normal.

Tell you what, I live in Houston. Take her to a vet there and see what is wrong with her first. If she can handle the drive from Austin to Houston and is in relatively okay conditions then we will take her off your hands.

Get her to the vet tomorrow. Don't call tomorrow and take an appointment Monday. Tell them she needs to be seen now and that's its an emergency. I have an extra cage at home that I can set her up in. PM me when you have all the details.

That's really nice of you. Sounds like she will be going to a great home. I think she just needs a new uvb and extra supplementing and some extra attention i bet she will back back in no time

yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!:)

Who ever approached the OP about her too I am happy because you want to care for her too but I urge you to not let the OP SHIP her to you. She looks to be in bad shape and imo would not make it through transit. She needs local help and I am only 2 hours away.

Here's to hoping that this all works out!!!! Thank you twatts704 for stepping up and taking her in!!!!!!!!!

She doesn't look as bad as some cases I've seen but I don't understand how the OP thought that she just crashed in 4days when the mbd had been developing for months. Anyway, I hope 4 the best!!!

On a completely irrelevant note, most awesome tattoo I have ever seen!!!

I agree, I have seen far worse. However it is something that should be addressed immediately and not at the OP's leisure. I was saying that her unhealthy condition would not be suitable for shipping across the US though. I think it takes a toll on any chameleon being shipped, let alone an unhealthy one. Which is why I offered to take her since I only live 2 hours away.

By the way, my fiance and I love the tattoo haha I am getting one of my blue bar ambilobe that passed away about a month ago on my cross that I have on my back. I'm going to have him hanging off the bottom.

And that's why we're so sensitive about this little chameleon. We did ever thing we could for ours. We even had him on life support. But they saw how much we cared about him and did a free autopsy and relieved us that it was nothing we did and he was a normal chameleon. He just had a hemi-peen and nothing that we did helped. And we resorted to surgery. It was really sad. I still miss my little guy. I have his paw prints imprinted in clay so i can look at them before I go to bed every night :) But I always love animal tats! It always feels like your pet is with you.

I will give it a try to help her, not sure if she would survive the shipping though I live in Rhode Island

I have a 9 month old chameleon that has recently fallen into bad health. She hasnt moved for two days and but I recently got her to eat 5 mealworms. She probably has a very mild case of metabolic bone disease. She has fallen into bad health only recently and has been moderately healthy up until about 4 days ago. I feel that there is not much I can do for her but I dont want to just watch her die when someone with more experience very well may be able to bring her back to good health. Please tell me if you are interested and I will pay all the shipping costs. (Only shipping in the US).

I will be in Austin today from 3:30 - 5 doing business and picking up other animals. If you really do want to give her a good home then contact me ASAP. I will gladly still take her.

Well I have her in my possession now and Hays was just awesome to meet. He was very forthcoming and sad to give her away but I promise you Hays we will do anything we can for her. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow and doing all I can. She does have MBD and possibly a broken leg from not being able to climb. I'm glad you decided to get her help when you did.

To everyone else, please do not take this time to point out the wrong doings he has done. He is well aware of what should have been done and what will need to be done. This is a learning experience for all of us. He could have just easily of kept her in her cage and let her die but instead decided to reach out and ask for help. There is nothing wrong with that. Hopefully Hays you will take this time to do as much research as possible about this breed and others for that matter and maybe one day when you aren't so busy and can dedicate your time you will be set! :) very nice to meet you again man and I will keep you and everyone else posted.
