@CamCham78, are you using a coiled UVB bulb? Also, what kind of hydration does he have (dripper/misting/etc)? Never mind on the hydration, I just went back and saw the nozzle.

Hi! I am in the stage of doing research before I get my first ever chameleon and just wondered what the benefit was of you putting the foliage in a pot instead of leaving it loose? Your chameleon is beautiful :)

Using a reptisun 5 uvb and 60 watt blue heat bulb. His basking area is 83. Went with a single large potted plant for easy clean up.

I'm glad your doing research before getting your Cham baby! The benefits of live plants are they keep the humidity up the Chams can eat them like pothos where as if they were to eat plastic fake plants it could cause them to become impacted and they provide a natural habitat for you baby like in the wild all around better. But be sure to change out the soil in them before putting them in your chams home you want to use a organic soil withought any pesticides or fertilizers. Also wash the plants itself back and top sides of leafs you can check the chameleon safe plant list for further reference on what plants are safe. Ficus and pothos are always a great option!
