fully grown adult locusts

If your just talking about adult grasshoppers, yes. I feed them to mine all the time. Some people call cicadae's (sic) locust also. If that's what your talking about, I don't think even a large veiled could down one of those. I feed mine just your average adult grasshoppers. It's one of his all time favorites.

Yes, but I don't think your going to be able to order those if your in the states. Locusts are just grasshoppers that go through a kind of mental and slightly physical metamorphosis and form swarms. All locusts are grasshoppers but not all grasshoppers are locusts. They are illegal to ship in the states. If you live in Europe, your lucky in that you can get feeders that we can't. I just collect my grasshoppers from a good clean field next to my house.

they breed like crzy and i dont know if you seen the movies where they swarm and eat farm crops like crazy!

The last confirmed locust swarming in the US was in the 20's or teens and it was supposedly 2 miles wide and 2000 miles long. I think it was a species called the rocky mountain locust. After that a small swarm was spotted in Canada. After that outbreak, they haven't been seen again. Would have been awesome to have witnessed that. I wouldn't think they would be that hard to breed as they are a common feeder in Europe.
