Ok, so, i have never seen my Jackson's pooping. I have seen the poop, but not the actual process. I walked in on it one day, and it was kinda horrifying. There were these two long, skinny, dark red things coming out of each side of his butt, and they each had a white thing on top of them. I'm assuming that these are just his naughty bits, but are they supposed to be so dark red? And is there supposed to be something white on them?? I last had him checked for parasites in July, and it was neg? He is otherwise acting fine.

Yes those were his hemepenes.
and Yes they are supposed to be that red.
Im not sure what white part you saw, it could have just been part of the poop, a sperm plug, or just part of his vent stretching.

its normal for them to come out when they defecate, as long as they go back in when finished.

Hehe! That is my thread - Monty provided me with even better pics just the other day! Until I got my Jax I had never been 'flashed' by a cham before! Monty gets his out and they move independantly of each other too whilst he poops! I have got used to it now, but the first time I was willing him to tuck everything back inside after!

Yes, the white bits were more than likely small deposits of sperm (Monty's man bogies, as I call them lol)! These often get wiped on the branch or vine afterwards! You can see the small sperm deposit hanging from his hemipene in the first photo! Lovely! I must upload the newest pics and add them to the thread!
