Sorry for being off topic, but how satisfied are you with the D40? I am considering venturing into photography again, but I have been out of the game for a while and not sure how the D40 comapres.

I used to use a Rebel, it was basic, and got the job done, but I would like something a little nicer.

I'm very happy with this camera!
I cant say if it compares to a rebel xti because I have only every used it in Sam's Club.
From what I noticed the Nikon had way more options.
The Menu's in the Nikon are huge!
There is so much you can change and customize.

That is awesome, I used an older Rebel XT or similar about 4-5 years ago, but lost interested in photography (more like lost time for it) but I now want to venture back into it, and I can finally get some rad pictures of my cham too! :lol:

do you think that the camera gets his full colors?
i want to get something better but i dont have money for anything so its really not an option.
but yes his colors are coming in really great. i would like his yellows to be like a yellow blue mix and he would be perfect (for me). im more of a torq kind of veild man. although i would like an orange one.

didnt you get a transluc female? i believe so if im not retarded. if so please post some pics of her with your new camra.

Yes, I think the camera gets most of his colors.
I will post some pictures of her(translucent) soon.
I keep her and the spectrums at my work.
They are out work mascot, and they keep the kids busy when parents come in to buy floors ar our retail store.

Veileds and pathers from my experience display very vivid colors at night.

He looks his best when he gets out of the shower.
His sleeping colors are less crisp, but still very nice.
Day pictures arent that great either.
