Glass or screen front?

I'm turning a liquor hutch into an enclosure for my panther chameleon (Bort). However I'm curious whether or not to keep the glass fronts (they are removable) since it is getting very cold here in Oregon (well below freezing). I'll include a picture.

Are you leaving the back and sides solid? If so, I would say screen, you'll need the ventilation. It may be freezing outside but if he's in the house that won't matter.
