Going Dark during the day..

Good morning,
This little guy is eating well and drinking. He only really like free eating.. won’t really eat out of a bowl, he likes the hunt. Main issue I am having is his colors go dark during the day and brighten up a Lot once the lights are out. My house is at 82 deg and at night it’s 77. I have to setup all his bioactive bottom stuff this weekend.
Any idea why he stays pretty dark during the day but really bright green at night?

The photos below green when the lights first turn in and darker about an hour later. Also pictures of my lights.

Forgot to add the heating lamp.
He also really does not like anyone around his cage. He is very shy.

Your house temp for daytime and nighttime are also hot for any chameleon. You are going to need some sort of climate control for the room of enclosure.

I am currently at work and saw this but will be home soon and give you a husbandry form to fill out so we can dive deeper.

You said..."Main issue I am having is his colors go dark during the day and brighten up a Lot once the lights are out"... Veiled chameleons usually become pale colored once it's dark.

This as well^ but going off info in first post theres more going on!

Does the bulb make a big difference over the ho light? The top of the habitat is small so I was originally told that it would work till I get a bigger set up.
Also what temp is better? I read Baby/juvenile (<9 months): ambient 72-80F (22-26C), basking 85F (29C).
He is very active. Just coloring goes dull and is shy.
