Going to sleep spot before lights off

This has been talked about a few times, I just wanted to see when everyone's chameleons pack up for the day and get ready for sleep. My one Cham is odd and goes to his spot sometimes 4-5 hours before lights off. He's had multiple fecals, eats fine, gaining weight, sheds, regular energy during the day, etc. He stays awake until lights are off, but goes to his spot very early. I have no reason to sick though, been like this for a couple months now. My others pack up usually 2 hours or so before lights off.

What are all your experiences?

My little boy veiled puts himself in his sleep spot 1 hour before lights out, so nothing wild.
Lights are 6am-6pm, and I can find him in his sleep spot at 5, just looking around, until lights go out

There's Windows open but they're at the other side of the room. I agree it seems too early, but I really have no idea what it could be.

Is the sun going down before the lights go out? Or does the sun come up before the lights come on?

Hmmm... I would understand maybe two hours with that schedule then... but it's still a bit odd. And you've had him for over a year? I assume?

Did his other people keep him on a different time schedule? He may still be adjusting a bit. They can do some weird things when trying to adjust. Especially since he is doing everything else normal

Hi James Septiceye did this same thing for the first few months . Like 2:30 he would Pack it up head in to bed . He now bunkers down about an hour before lights out . As Andee said may be old schedule.

It's good that you are watching him though, it's not surprising when he's doing well and then something like this that seems miniscule happens and then they get sick. Not saying he will currently but being aware is always good ^^ chams always scare me for stupid reasons >3>

I agree, I'm constantly paranoid lol. Part of owning a Cham I think. This is the guy I plan to breed, his purples and blues are crazy, want to make sure he stays healthy!

Is he getting anymore light at night than the others? Is he closer to a door or other night time light source(street light)? Does his window face a different direction than your other chams, east vs. west?
You probably sorted these things out already. Just shooting out ideas.

Nope :/ everything's consistent with the other chams. The plants in the corner of his cage are so dense that even with a quad t5h0 and a jungle dawn spot it's dark in bottom corners. He often goes there to escape me when I bother him too much. He's very defensive and gets scared easily. Isn't afraid to bite either. I'm wondering if this stuff contributes?
