maximum 10 bugs everyday. I toss some collard greens in her food cup too and she eats that as well. She eats superworms and occasionally dubias to add enrichment.Have you gotten your husbandry reviewed? She looks overweight, not gravid yet. What is her diet, how much and how often are you feeding her?
Fake plants are not good for veiled chameleons because they actually eat plants. As soon as you can, you will need to replace these with live plants. I will attach a chart below to follow. You can find these at home depot, lowes. A great plant to use is pothos or golden pothos. If she were to eat a fake plant, that is an impaction risk.Heat Bulb - 100W Repti Basking Bulb
UVB - 10.0 T5 ReptiSun Linear
Tons of foliage though all fake plants at the moment. I mist her three times a day and also has a good gradient of temperature going from top to bottom.
She basks like normal.
I just want to know if she is gravid. She gets calcium dusted insects daily and a multi-vitamin once a month. You said..."also the joint on her leg is brown and weird. It can’t be MBD.... I have the right lighting!!"...MBD isn't just caused by the wrong lighting...vitamin D3, vitamin A, calcium available, phosphorous levels, etc also play a part. Not saying that your chameleon has MBD...just explaining. (Right now I can't see the elbow clearly because the photos too dark.)
I know you realize she can produce eggs but do you know that she can produce huge clutches if she's fed too much and kept too warm once she becomes sexually mature... and that it can lead to follicular stasis, eggbinding, MBD, prolapses and other health issues and even death?
her leg is fine. i'll post more photos of her though. Can you take some more photos of her, and of her leg that is causing your concern?
