Great item to add to wet gut loads

These are better than most supermarket greens, because they are high in Ca, low in oxalates and goitrogens, full of moisture, store well at temps above freezing, and are available in organic, large quantities. I've fed these to to tortoises and uromastyx with great results and will be adding them to my feeder's food menu.

Is this the leaves before the spines harden? Is there a way to remove the spines after the leaves mature?
 
They are spineless or have easily removed larger spines. They can be peeled or the "eyes" where the spines originate can be excised, but usually there is no need, as there aren't any spines.
 
Thanks for sharing! How long do they typically last after you get them? Do you store them at room temp or in the fridge?
