Well recently cleaning the house I found some nasty fly pupae under a towel, I am cleaning the house twice over now, this is gross!

Anyways, to the question, is it possible to put these in a cup and seran wrap a lid and feed them off to my chameleon?

What do they eat?

Grosssssss!!

:(

Absolutely, can dust them, or add a little milk and bee pollen for the flies to drink and your good. Don't know to many chams, that can resist the buzz of a fly.

Awesome! So how do I get the milk in there without killing the pupae? I have a ton of bee pollen leftover from making some bread for crickets once.

Powdered milk, powdered sugar, and bee pollen.

Dodolah has a great recipe for fly food, lemme find the link.

.....please hold, for the next available represenative......*elevator music*

Here it is.......

If you want a bit more healthy food for your fly to eat before getting gobbled down by your cham, you can use:

a soft-boiled egg (mashed it so it smooth)
a few teaspoons of plain yogurt
baby rice cereal (Plain)
some honey.

Blend it well. Into liquid.
Give to flies 2-3 hours before feeding them to your chameleon.
It could just be my feeling.. but, I found my chameleons are more enthused eating flies that are fed with this mixture than the one fed with the dry milk powder (or the one with empty stomach).

Wait til they hatch then add. I place wood chips in/around, so flies have a place to climb down to without drowning.

Alright. I have learned to stick flies in the freezer before trying to stick anything in there LOL!

Thanks Jay, sounds like a good idea.
