What do you mean by "a metal grid container"
Are you saying the chow is drying up or the silkworms are dehydrated and dead?
I keep mine in an open plastic container, papertowel on the bottom. The room they are in is 68F/20C at night and 75F/23C to 80F/27C daytime. relative humdity is around 30-50% I put little bits of chow in three times a day, and anything that they dont eat up does dry out. I also feed them dandelion leaves.

im saying they just wont grow....its like a mesh...only made of metal...it has like 1/8 inch holes throughout in.....kinda like a sift....they worms arnt dyhidtared...they are fine....but they just wont grown.

Well a week isnt very long, and it sounds like they ARE growing. Were you expecting them to grow enormous overnight? It takes a few weeks for them to grow to full size. Keep feeding them - the more they eat the faster they grow.

no iahve been keeping them for almost a year..in experiance...its just they ussaly grow a little faster...i know they arnt like horns who reach adult size in less then a week...i triped little stipes of chow instead on one big one...we'll see how it wirks out.

thanks
