Hi :)
So I have a red bar and blue bar Ambilobe Panther Chameleon about 8 months old, hes gotten so much brighter in colors and shed about 2-3 times? Seems like forever till he's big, does it take a relatively long time for chameleons to grow up?
Please thank you :D

I've actually wondered this too, I keep looking forward to the sheds to c more color, I have a blue bar ambilobe too. When I get him out of his cage and put him on his 4' ficus he gets lovely blue, green and even yellow colors come out in him! How old is yours roughly? I've only experienced 2 sheds but he is due another very soon
I get paid monthly and he always seem to shed close to my pay day lol

my ambi/ambanja cross boy just shed the other day. he is also about 8 months and after he shed he stayed a bright vivid blue all day it was gorgeous! he is back to him normal but you can still see the new shades of blue that wernt there before. i love his color bc he has the touch of yellow and a sprinkle of red and he is mostly blue so where the blue and red meet he looks purple. i love every shed bc if ya look close enough u see new shades of color! :D ... IMO they dont really stop developing until maybe 18 months? thats just what ive observed from chams of friends, pet stores and my own

I've also heard from somewhere it is about 18 months!! I'm really looking forward to mine getting bigger he's bout 5-6 months now I think, il post a pic and you can tell me how old you think he is........

He's catching some rays in this pic lol

Well idk much about panthers but I know veileds take about 6-12 months to grow up...

To me he looks about 5-6 months, but once again, I don't know much about panthers xD

Yeah that's what I thought. I should be getting a veiled in the next few months, was going to next month, but I'm doing some work in the room he will be in so I thought I'd get that done 1st, if not the work would probly kill him :(

Also a quick question I'm now going to order a 34" 6% Arcadia tube with a twin starter, could I order a normal light tube to go in the other starter just to brighten up the viv a bit, I'm putting him in a 2x3x4, nd thought it would be a bit dull with just a uv and a basking bulb?? Viv wil be all wood with mesh top nd half of front? Cheers

Are you sure that's enough ventilation? I live in a very dry place too but My entire front is open air, also top. My cage is lit just fine with UVB and basking on... But sometimes when it gets too hot I turn off the basking light and then it gets a little strangely colored in there.

Also, I'm sorry but I don't know what an Arcadia tube or any of that is...Lol

I wouldn't say I lived in a dry place really lol, I thought it would have been ok, il get you some links to look at

Cage, bottom glass doors will be mesh and so will nearly all the top
