When I first got my chameleon, he had a small little bump on his eyelid that has grown to about the size of an M&M. I first thought it was because he wasn't getting enough water and read that it is common to happen due to dehydration but I have been making sure he gets more than enough water.
He is a Veiled Male (named Syd) and almost a year old. I keep him in a 40 gallon tank and spray him with a bottle for a few minutes multiple times a day. I feed him gut loaded crickets 6-10 every day and keep the temperature around 80 degrees. Crickets feed on a calcium block before I feed them to Syd.
I heard this could also be due to shed skin being stuck in his eye but I'm not sure. He doesn't notice my hand sometimes on the affected eye and sometimes his eye moves around unnaturally. It didn't seem to really bother him but he doesn't like being picked up anymore as the growth got much bigger. If anyone can shed some light on the matter that would be great and if there is anything I can do please let me know. Thanks!
