Handling :)

You can do cricket kisses.

Or just gently scoop it up from the front, like you are pooling water in your hand to your mouth. I try not to "grab" mine or come over the top..he usually freaks and gets all roadrunner on me when I do that.

lol ok, i'll try that, I got draven a ew days ago and i can finally put my hand in the cage without him hissing and getting all angry at me.. but he still kinda runs.

place your palm underneath your chameleon's chin and then gently tab the chameleon behind to get it climb onto your hand. That will be less stressful compare to grabbing from above!:D

Usually if the chamleon in question is trying to bite me, i coax it onto a stick. Then i take it out of the cage, and they usually settle down.

Just be sure that you don't pull on the chameleon to get its feet off the branch or you might injure the toes, pull a nail out or cause an injury to the ankles/wrists.

And also be sure to move slowly because on the way out the chameleon will wrap his/her tail around branches and a quick jerk could break it :)

Just like doing a treat kiss with a dog or cat. Put the treat in your mouth get it to come to you. hahaha.

I'm working on handling my male veiled, and hes getting alot better. I've been hand feeding him for the last few weeks, and now I put my hand out and hold a locust near the top of my arm, meaning he has to get on my hand to take it.

I had him all on my hand today inc. tail (but kept my hand in his viv) so he's getting alot better. He sits and eats on my hand, gives me a quick look over, and then turns and goes back. If he can associate my hand with food, then he'll be handable in no time :D
