Handling

Well since I am a newbie second day and counting. I know because I have read up but how often should I hold my cham it is a veil a young one. Maybe 8 inchs long and that is a bit to much maybe. I just want to do it right without over stressing him. He will wonder around the inclosure until somebody enters the room then he will go up to his (hiding spot in the upper corner of the cage). I am about to head out and get more stuff for him (supplements). I have done my fair share of research and I do think I am doing it right so far. My inclosure is 18''x18''x20''. I have found out it is not big enough, so I will be gettting much bigger one in a month or so, off the DIY site on here. Back to the handling how, how often, and etc..

Thanks again fellas.

I would not really handle at all the first week. Let him get used to his new enclosure and surroundings. Did you get him form a breeder that handled it daily since it was born? That will make a big difference as I have one I have to been able to get off of me since the moment he arrived. But if he looks like he is worried (and by going to the back part of the cage ) just give him some time.

You can then see work on handling him daily with encouragement by food, free range or other positive things.

Thank You all

I checked out the site and etc... and reead all replies it helped me understand on how or what to do cant thank you enough. This is all new to me.
