Hands-on interaction

We bought a baby veiled chameleon about 2.5 months ago. We do not touch her. I know that I will eventually have to take her out to clean out her enclosure. She hisses at me now every time I go near her with my hand. What is the recommendation for getting her out for the first time? I appreciate any feedback.

I clean around them and rarely take an animal out to clean a cage.

I interact with my chameleons everyday moving them around from free range to free range and I also take them outside for natural UV just about daily so I've never had your problem but the hand feeding recommended above is a good idea. You can also open her cage door and put a tree or large plant next to the cage. Watch from a distance and see if she will come out on her own. Once out they are usually much friendlier. I am a firm believer in getting your chameleon where you can handle them and they not be terrified. After all it will be very important for vet visits and so forth.
