As above my chameleon don't think his worms are food. Can anyone help please?? I feed in a cup and free feed. His crix are fine he chases them and eats good so I give him lots as he's just about 3-months on the 26th of this month.I mist and feed during the day as I am retired and home all day. male veiled by the way and never been handled as yet-I am letting him adjust to his home..He doe's know I am the crix supplier so he's getting braver coming to front to see me in the am.I feed him first thing in the morning. and lunch and supper around 3-30 to 4-am. cage is 24-24-48 long tube 5.0 uva/uvab tube light temps are about 80% to 82. with probe and lots of coverage for his home and to hide in.Can anyone suggest a way so he will know the worms are good to eat-thanks in advance for all the help buttons. He eats 1/2 in crix and thens sits under his uvb/uva light and heat. Thanks again buttons

I don't think cauliflower is food ... :p
We all got our likes and dislikes so maybe the wroms just don't interest him.

What kind of worms are you feeding?

You could try skipping a feeding or two so he get's hungry, then offer the worm. Try to make it wiggle since movement will make it more interesting to him.

I really wish he would have some worms he loves greens like he sits on his ladder waiting for his crix;I think perhaps I better let him get hungry -maybe that's the problem he is not that hungrey he eats a lot. Thanks to all love the forum, have not been on sinse my other chameleon went to another home.buttons

Sorry the only worms I have not tried are supers, and phoenix-it's hard to get phoenix around here as I am in Ontario Canada. I really think supers would scare him. buttons

Thank you I emailed her 1-time for a price quote and unless it's a big order it really is not worth it. I think up the road from me will order them for me as I go there for my crix; all the time thanks so much for your help buttons

I have done the same. Seems like they offer great service, just too much for shipping. Where are you located? @buttons

I recently posted an add on kijiji asking people in my area if they wanted to get together once a month and place an order together to save on shipping, surprisingly not much interest. o_O

Eg. 1 box of 1000 crix 25$ but if you arder 8 boxes they are 18$ each (i just made up the prices to show you what I mean) and you still pay the same shipping as 1 box.

I didnt think mine would like supers at first either but he loves them partly because they are so lively I think. You tried silkworms and butterworms?

yes, I have ordered phoenix worms and they arrive today so here's hoping,he will try them. This baby has never been handled just to deliver to me and I think that's why he's frightened of every thing. worms included. He runs when I put them in his cup-I have even placed them on branches and he runs.I have had him about a month and he must have a change in his diet to help him grow. He looks like he's already had another shed that's 2-since I have had him.Maybe the problem is -he was very young when I got him-5-weeks I believe. He is about 2-3-inche's long and he was the size of my baby finger when I got him.very active and changes his colours when he see's me.hope he will at least try some kind of worms. Any more help is well appreciated.I do not listen to pet stores on their care and i'm reading lot's of excellent posts on them and have had them before in 2013.buttons

PS-I can not get wax worms around here as pet smart got them in and price was good it's just they were black and I would not buy them. According to pet smart they got a bad order and were sending them back-so if they do get fresh ones I will try them. I believe the are suppose to be white I have not bought them before at any time so I don't know.Someone correct me is I am wrong-buttons

@buttons I don't think your cham is scared of the worms.... probably just the giant putting them in there!!

Where in Ontario are you located?

Pretty sure there are a few good reptile shops in Mississauga that could get you all the required feeders.... I know they have a nice Big Al's Aquarium services there. The store in Kitchener usually has all the worms I need.

kapitalj; there use to be a good reptile shop is Mississauga but they have since closed and they do online work and I don't use cc so I am out of luck there. I know the big ale's there and went many times when I had my first cham. buttons
