ok as some of you might remember i got my panther cham last tues. he did eat anything until friday and then it was only 1 small cricket. i have some phoenix worms that should be here i am hoping tomorrow. anyway so sunday i went and got some more crickets and gut loaded them(collard greens, dandelions, endive). i also got some wax worms too. i figured at this point i just needed to get him to eat. so i put some crickets in there today and guess what? he ate 3 large ones!!! yea i am so happy. and they were out of his feeder cup. so he never did get any wax worms, but he has eaten.
my husband was like ok thats great. but he didn't quite get it like i know you guys will.
i cannot wait to not have to do crickets for a bit. ugggg they are so nasty, stinky.ok well most of you know what i am saying.
anyway i just wanted to share my good news.:)

oh lastly how many phoneix worms(small) should i try to give him? he is 17 weeks. once he is finally settled in how many should he eat a day?

Although pheonix worms are a nutritious food source, i would limit him to a few each day. Their skin is rough and many times they will not even digest. If you do feed him some, i suggest pricking them with a small needle so your sure they digest properly. It sounds gross but if you pack him full of pheonix worms and only a couple digest you could have some undigested pheonix worms that run the risk of impaction. Thats how i feel about them. They're an expensive feeder choice and for the money i would fork out a couple more bucks and buy a silkworm pod.
