It's really good for them to get water in their eyes sometimes. It gives them a chance to wash the eyes out.

My little guy runs away when i mist the cage. But sometimes he will come out and just take it all in and washes his eyes out and drinks a little

Some of mine don't like being misted either. But it helps when the water coming out is warm, I think it shocks them less. But if I'm hand misting I just follow them around with the water and they eventually realize they like it and close their eyes and soak in it. But it might take a minute or so.

You shouldn't mist your chameleons directly.

Always give them the option to climb towards the rain fall that you create for them.

If you can get a drip system that lasts a few hours, some will drink from it, while others will let the droplets fall onto their head, and run down into their mouth and eyes.

pssh...do you think it looks weird? We just had him for a month and he is our first so if you notice anything unusual please let us know..thanks!

oh and we always mist him with warm water and have a dripper on all day.

I am not seeing anything wrong with the arm, so Pssh what are you seeing that I don't????

I could be out in left field, but in the second photo the arm looks slightly curved. If that is the case, it could be the start of MBD, although I am (very) far from an expert on the matter.

I'm not an expert either, but I do agree that it looks a little curved between the elbow and wrist.

Yeah, that's exactly what I am seeing. Possibly a break when it was younger, the onset of MBD, etc.

We have a dual light hood (24"), the bulbs we use are Reptiglo 10.0 and Reptiglo 2.0. He did fall a couple of times when he was smaller but there was never any bruising or anything wrong with his walk after. We try to give him calcium every day, we use a multi vitamin once a months and every couple of days we take him outside for some D3. The first picture shows the same arm and it looks straight, could it be just the way he was positioned?! Do you think a vet visit is needed? I will try to post some more pictures tonight.

why are you usingTWO reptiglo's in the enclosure? Also why the 10.0, the preferred reptiglo is 5.0. What are you using for basking then? When you say take him outside, how long are we talking here? Why are you not supplementing with d3 at all?

We have a pretty large enclosure 24x24x48 and the room where Bob (our cham) is located unfortunately does not get much light during the day. We are using the 2.0 as a full spectrum light to brighten up the enclosure and the 10.0 because we felt the 5.0 we had before was not enough. We are using a seperate basking light, Exo Terra Sunglo 60 Watts and give him a multi vitamin with D3 once or twice a month. When we take him out is is usually around 20 minutes (more or less) and with the multivitamin with d3 that should be sufficient for him. When i get off work i will post some pictures of the enclosure...any feedback is appreciated.

Most keepers use the 24 X 24 X48. That is pretty standard and use the 5.0.
I think you will get some negative feedback here on using the 10.0. Many of us have had great success with our chams using the 5.0.
