Heat lamp cover temps

I'm thinking of building a "cover" out of wood to hide the lights on my enclosure. The only thing I'm worried about is the cover of the heat lamp getting hot enough to ignite it even from a few inches away. Thoughts?

(The cover would only go around the front and sides of the enclosure it'll just rest on top so I can easily remove it to change bulbs and such)

Just build a frame leave the top open. You want your lights and cage to be able to vent. Or you will limit your air circulation and build heat at the top of the cage this in turn can cause health issues depending on your overall set up.
