Heater for dubia tank

My dubias are in a Rubbermaid bin. Directions for Zoo Med heater says you can only use it on glass. WTF How can I rectify this? do I need to put glass under my Rubbermaid bin? How do you do yours?

Cut out the bottom with a packing razor then duck tape a piece of glass to the bottom.

I use a temp controller. but...

in the past I have just used it under the bin. It will be fine it doesn't get that hot. Don't attach it to the bin just make sure it sets on top using the little plastic feet that come with the heat mat. So it is slightly raised above the mat.

I use heat mats on over 12 bins right now 24/7 and have not even come close to a probelm.

That is one solution but it is not necessary.

Glad I saw this. I have dubia in a rubbermaid bin as well. It usually gets warm enough anyways but it's not SUPER warm.

I haven't had any issues with the pads under plastic... They put that warning on there to cover their butts in a lawsuit.
