Greetings .

I am loving those plants, they are drop dead gorgeous! WOW! Also a very nice chameleon. Welcome to the forum.:)

oui bonjour mathieu cava? I love the chameleo and i have some of those plants. we call them pitcher plants and the chameleon is fantastique:D

pretty cool plants and nice cham.

I am curious. you said he lives in your GH... does he have UVB lighting inside? or do you give him direct sunlight a couple of times a week?

Welcome to the forum!!

You have a beautiful chameleon, he looks like he is really enjoying the sun!

The plants are remarkable!! Are they hard to care for?

Yeah my concern is if living free range in the gh, does the cham get adiquate uvb? And also I wouldn't want the chameleon to be exposed to a plant that is toxic.

From what i know about Mat Jak, i would be very highly surprised that he doesn't have any UVB light! ;)

He posts regularly on a french forum where i am a member and it wouldn't be tolerated to not have any UVB source, even if they are kept in a greenhouse, knowing that UVB usually do not penetrate glass (granted a few exceptions). But then again, give him 12 hours and he might answer you because at this moment it's midnight! ;)

Hello Mathieu,
I like your plants, they are so big and look very healthy.
It sounds interesting to keep the chameleon in the greenhouse.
It is possible all over the year?

hoooo , thanks for all your comments ! (et content de te voir ici Mapmap)
My Chameleon is all the time in my greenhouse and I have UV lamps but just the winter when the photopériodism is under 12h .
My plants are'nt toxic for the caméléon , I grow Orchids , Nepenthes and myrmécophile plants (Lecanopteris , Rubiaceae ...) and I don't use chemical traitments just a based seaweed fertiliser (once or twice by month).

The next time , I'll present you my new greenhouse with lowland and highland climate and I'll explain you all in detail ...

Hello all ,

Welcome to the forums Mathieu! The plants are amazing, also the greenhouse. for some reason i cant see the pictures of your chamekeon :(
Greetings from Hungary!

Great greenhouse!! Kevin is right though if your Sambava is in the greenhouse always your going to have to supplement the light (more than just the winter months) in the greenhouse with some kind of source of UVB. If not you may see MBD develope in your chameleons as well as an overall a lack of health. You may want to check with manufacturers in France and see if they produce greenhouse skins that let UVB rays through. Which is much more practicle than bringing lights in the greenhouse year round.

Je parle francais un peu. I have got a greenhouse that I house both plants and chameleons in and if you have got any questions your welcome to ask.

Jeremy
