I got home today and my cham isnt in his cage...i know its silly i leave the dorr open but he never tries to leave...any ideas where he could be or how to find him...i have looked everywhere and taken everything out of his cage so he isnt in there:mad::confused::eek:HELLLLP

lol.....it happens a lot more than you think it does :)

Look up high on top of curtain rods, light fixtures, top of cabinets and behind things like the tv, computer wiring etc

Just make sure that all doors and windows or any escape routes to the outside world are closed and you will find him...he will get hungry soon enough.

I have 1 cham that likes to free range and he is fascinated with my office desk and filing cabinet I find him in those big yellow envelopes all the time....not quite sure what goes thru his mind but he likes yellow envelopes.

Make sure that you close the toilet lids etc or anywhere he may accidently fall into or cant get out of.

Good luck and keep us informed of his adventures

We have found ours in curtains, on the top of curtains, on the back of an upholstered chair, in the closet hanging on clothes- but the toughest one was when he went onto a bookshelf and hid BEHIND the books! Since then he has settled down and now stays within his free range.

Let us know when and where you find him.

Gesang,
Just curious...was this a melleri you speak of?

start with all the power chords in/near the kitchen, then start at the ceiling and work your way down. check all the trashcans....sounds crazy, but check em anyway. good luck.

The really funny part.....he's prolly watching you the whole time your searching (and laughing):D

im sorry, but you kinda have to expect this if you are going to leave the door to your cage open...

but ya start high and go down. I let mine roam around my living room one day and he kept going under the couch so look in there. He actually got up into the middle of the couch so it was hard to find him.

Just make sure you dont squish him. If you move something make sure you look where you are about to move the object first.

Henry...............

We also frequently found him hanging on the computer cables underneath the desk...sound asleep.

The power cord advise is good. BUT Just so you know when I lost my Veiled Jake one time he was under the stove!!! I mean we looked EVERYWHERE. Needless to say we did NOT turn on the oven that night or run the dish washer because we knew he couldn't be anywhere else but one of those two places. The next day we found him walking out of the kitchen all covered in spider webs kinda dazed LOL. You can also check your windows... if it isn't cold by you and you leave your windows open (screen in place) I have found mine stuck to the screen like they're wearing a Velcro suit like you see in those Japanese game shows.

This is Henry.... He LOVES the bikes, we check there first when I see he isn't in the cham room.

They like to hang out in unusual places...spot the tail and back foot and see how well the little sneaks can hide :D

Toward the evening going into night I lower the temps a little and turn on a single light source. I always find my cams very close to the light the next day.
