Current Problem - I got this wild caught panther female a little less then a month ago and now her left eye is closed most of the time and she pulls it in like it hurts. I run the automatic mister for 30 seconds 4 times a day and a dripper half of the day. I run her water though a brita filter and then add retisafe water conditioner.... What could be causing her to close her eye? I heavly misted her once today to see if I could flush the eye but she still wont open it unless I am handleing her... Help Please... every time I go to my local vet about my other panthers eye problems it dosnt really help any she just gives me antibiotic drops... I have a feeling its something I am doing wrong and I feel very axious

Eyes are kind of a "tell all" thing on chameleons. Closing the eyes doesn't necessarily mean there's an eye problem. It's sort of like your dog having a dry, hot nose wouldn't mean he has a nose problem.

If this were my chameleon, I would try a good long shower. If you can get her into the shower on a plant, bounce the water off the wall so it doesn't hit her full force and give her as much time as you can (up to 20-30 minutes).

You didn't mention anything that screams "eggs" but I have to ask: do you have a laying bin in for her (or at least a place she can go start scratching around to let you know she needs to be moved to a laying bin)?
