I have had my panther chameleon for about 2 weeks.. Just today he/she started sitting with the mouth open...
Is this normal? Am I being paranoid? Do I need to do something?
Well it could be a potential problem like a Respiratory Infection. They will do this to get air. Another reason is your temps could be too high and he is trying to cool down. What are the temps in your cage? Does he do it all over the cage or just when basking? As far as the Respiratory Infection, there are other symptoms to look for like excess saliva, bubbles, a wheezing or popping noise, holding their nose straight up in the air...
