I just got a new female panther and i have had her about 2 days, shes about 4-5 months and i got her from someone in my city, they were moving and could not keep her..but they had other chams so i figuered he knew what he was doing and i bought her off him, i have 2 other chams that i cup feed and she is kinda small in a big enclosure for her size and im trying to teach her and its not working, i put the criks in a little container and hung it from a vine the same way i do with the others and she hasnt touched any.....but i also let a few out in the cage and im pretty sure she hasnt eaten them either......i keep misting her about 3-4 times a day a full large bottle each time...and she drinks as im misting every time, and she seems to be healthy and active always moving around...she has a good temper...doesent seem lifeless.....any suggestions....im just worried if she keeps this up...... what can i do to help her, or encourage her to eat...how can i tempt her....??? if any one could help i would really appreciate it...thanks!!!

hi this is very interesting as i've just got my female panther back and she is doing the same thing. have you tried hand feeding her?

shes too shy just runs away....im hoping tomorrow it will be better.....makes me worry tho

give her some time to get used to her enviroment like a week and dont worry shes fine, i did the same thing when i got my male veiled. still put food in there though just in case its sooner.

I agree...I would guess from the first picture that whomever had them before you did not give her enough water. She looks dehydrated and that fact the she drinks when you mist her is great. I would just keep doing what you are doing, many of my chams (females mainly) I don't see eat but they are putting on weight and going to the bathroom regularly, so that are eating. Just give her some time and if you want throw some super worms in her cup...I have found that the majority of chameleons go right after them. But keep crickets as her staple.
