I have a 4 mo. old panther who is eating and acting normal. I had noticed that his back left foot had a dark area surrounding his toes and half of the foot. Like white area on a baby veiled chams feet (socks). It looked like it was a piece of skin that he had not finished shedding so I left him alone. The area got darker so I soaked his feet for about 5 min. I set him in a large bowl with enough water to cover his feet. I gently pulled back on a piece of flaked skin and it came off fine, I pulled back on anothe piece (GENTLY) and his entire toe came with it. The area looks necrotic. My guess is that the skin that did not shed cut off circulation. I put him back in the enclosure and offered some crix , he hit em hard. Has anyone ever seen this? Maybe it wasn't unshed skin. Any advise?
