HELP white dots on sticks

I’m looking for sticks but a lot of the ones I have have these white dots on them are these ok?

They where off of a bush

And I have no clue what kind of bush it’s from

I’ve seen those before, but no idea what they are. Since you don’t know what kind of bush, I’m going to say not to use them. Look for tree branches, avoiding ones from trees with sap and odor, like pine and eucalyptus.
