Help with my baby!

I have an egg that MIGHT hatch soon and I'm so thrilled. His or her hatch date is supposed to be the 12th, and it seems like the egg has been doing good, of course hasn't been mistreated, and has even shrunken just a little bit since I got it which I think is a great sign. I'm hoping he/she hatches soon, and I have everything I need for the enclosure and food, but I would absolutely love some tips. If anyone has any info about what to do or expect while the egg is actively hatching, I would like to hear it. I would also like to hear about and feeding, handling, or health tips specific to little babies!

Side note, I'm wondering how common it is for an egg to hatch (not on its predicted date because I know that's basically impossible) close to its hatch date or around 6 months after laying.

There is a wide range for when they can end up hatching anywhere from 6-12 months... All depends on incubation temps etc. Their hatch date is just a guess. In the forum search hatching egg and variations of that. you will see other threads with info. Important not to mess with it at all and not to open the container.

This will help you a lot with every single aspect. https://chameleonacademy.com/hatching-a-panther-chameleon-egg/
