My chameleon hasn't ate since I brought her home this past Sunday I tried fruit flies , pin head crickets, today was by far her worst day she's extremely weak hasn't opened her eyes once ... I tried to feed her some calcium with a syringe but I couldn't get her mouth to open and I felt like I was stressing her out so I stopped and put her back in her terrarium ... She normally drinks water when I mist her terrarium and today she didn't.... I will post a picture of what she's looking like as of right now....:(

Oh, poor baby! She does not look happy.

I strongly suggest you complete the How To Ask For Help form. Just click that link copy the questions, paste them into a reply and add your information.

That will help reduce the number of questions you get asked by concerned people here. It won't stop the questions, there are always questions, but it will reduce them and it will stop people from saying "complete the form"....oddly, the form can become it's own issue so, in the best interests of your chameleon, I strongly suggest you just bite the bullet and do it.

I will say that I think hydration is a very straightforward way to help your chameleon. I know you say you mist her and she was drinking. I suspect she was not getting enough water. I think you should have a dripper going for a couple at least an hour 2 or 3 (or more) times a day. This is in addition to your mistings. I think you should increase the length of your mistings (whatever it was)...get that cage dripping wet. Hopefully people will be able to help you and your pretty baby.

I think your basking temperature is too hot. I would back that off to 80 to 83 for a baby that young. I would switch to a 60 or even a 40 watt bulb...just use a regular incandescent you can buy at the grocery store for heat. Hopefully that will lower the temperature the bottom of your cage a bit. I think you want 15 to 20 degrees between the basking spot and the bottom of the cage.

I suspect that lowering the temps and increasing the water opportunities will help a lot.

Hopefully someone with expertise in this species will chime in with more informed ideas, but I am confident in saying that your basking spot is too hot and more hydration would be good.

Shes right ! i have one too and yours look like its still a juvenille and the temp wayyy too hot the top of the cage suupost to be at most 85 and droping down to low 70s at the botton of the cage , i recomen giving her a 30min shower and just putting her in there with the shower head facing the wall so she sees the water dripping and she drinks it, i had the same problem with mys but she wounderfull now if u got more questions just p.m
hope all works out for you

Thats wrong too it's suppost to be 3ft higher than where your bed is remenber the higher the better if she can look down on you she can feel save and start building a relationship with you, once againg best off luck

On the height of the cage...the thing is, they really want to look down on you. It's part of the deal. You want to put the cage somewhere that lets her get above you. So, position the cage so the top is at least 6 inches above your head height. I'm 5 foot 6, the tops of my cages are a bit over 6 feet...that seems to work for them.
