Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - 4.5 month male panther, in my care 2 weeks.
Handling - Twice since he arrived, both very brief.
Feeding - Hes eating 10-15 small brown crickets daily, gut loading with mixed vegetables and cricket protein.
Supplements - Dusting with plain calcium daily and multi vitamins with d3 once since he arrived.
Watering - Misting 3/4 times daily, little dripper running daily, he will drink regularly from leaves.
Fecal Description - Normal, solid brown segment with creamy white urates.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Full screen cage, 46x46x91cm
Lighting - Arcadia 5.0 uv tube, 100w basking lamp, lights on at 10am and off 8pm, which is when he puts himself to bed.
Temperature - basking temp of 85, dropping to 70 towards bottom of cage.
Humidity - 40-50%
Plants - Umbrella plant and Passion flower
Placement - Living room, elevated, low traffic.
Location - Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Current Problem - Today while sat watching George happily basking, he lifted his tail and I assumed he was about to have a bowl movement (I had already cleaned a poop from the cage an hour earlier, so he's not constipated, and is having movements daily), instead a small, red lump popped out, and within seconds popped back in. It was so quick I didn't get a chance to take a photograph, and he promptly went off hunting crickets so didn't seem particularly bothered! Having looked online it looked as though it was his hemipenes. I've never had another Cham do this, and only before saw the hemipenes of a breeding veiled! Should I be concerned? He's now basking and is rather dark coloured, but other than that looked completely healthy, no sunken eyes or casque.

Yes your boy wants you to know he is manly.:) The time to worry is when he wipes the "stuff" off on you. UGH!!!!

Phew! Such a little hunk, I might have to think about finding him a girlfriend! Haha, thanks for the responses :)

Females are a little xtra work. Just get her all the stuff she needs and, short of digging up her eggs and throwing them out, they are no trouble. They have such endearing personalities
