Hesitant to move about...

This morning my wife was first to go look at the veiled we have. She told me she thought it was dead.... Dark and totally immobile.
I go to look at it, initially I thought it was dead... Perched on a vine. Then I see its eyes move about.

It usually will move away unless it's feeding from hands. It was staying immobile even when I was touching it.

After a ten minute break of leaving him alone he moved gingerly away.
I noticed then, that he had eaten a dead superworms from bottom of cage sometime between last evening and this morning. I failed to remove it because of my kids bathing.
He now has eaten from my hands but still is hesitant to move about.

Anyone else have funny behavior after eating old dead insect?

Vet might be needed for this one bud. How old was this insect? Lethargic behavior is bad for anything, not moving when being touched also seems real bad. How is he now? How all is well. Light and love to you and yours.

He is moving about now but slower than usual
Got better as day went on

I gave him food here and there by hand until I left for work

Good to know he is feeling better. I know the thought of a vet bill is not good, especially when you have children and already are tight on money. But sometimes it's best to bite the bullet and go. Around here the vet well work with you with a payment plan. How about a pic of the little fellow.

Actually I need to have a talk with my new neighbor...a vet. He offered his services basically free. Not sure how knowledgeable in herps he is though.
