So I bought a ambilobe panther Cham about 1-2 months ago my humidity is low ranges from 35-55 I bought a pothos and a ficus (money tree) both in the enclosure it's still low even purchased a king mist system and a exoterra fogger . Fogger on keeps it about 55 no higher any ideas? Also I'm assuming since its freezing in nj my heat may have something to do with it

Hey whats up!
What are you measuring your RH with?
Heating systems will definitely dry the air out.
Maybe you could cut the A/C to that room?
I try to keep the RH above 50%
Covering the sides of the cage is also an option.
If you have live plants, a fogger, and a mistking, your problem should be too much humidity.
Can you post a few pics of your setup?

About 80 degrees 65 overnight I'll post a few pics of the setup when I get out of work the cage is the small one from screameleons starter package . I use the basic dial gauge

And yes lol I thought the same I'm sure during the summer all I'll need is a window open I'm on the second floor so I get the downstairs heat too

I have a mist king, which I LOVE. I also have 2 to 3 plants I alternate with.

This is my cage

It’s a mansion and a playground all in one for him :) How often are you misting? Make sure that he has enough ventilation as well. I put an extra heat lamp for him for winter, but then again my cage is massive. You won’t get high humidity in winter bc of the cold, but you don’t want it to low. When I first got my cham I had a 60wt daylight bulb and a reptisun 5.0 uv bulb. The humidity constantly fluctuated. I live in NY and its cold as well, but the most important factor is the heat. Just make sure his temps are 75+ during the day

Set up looks great, but I would recommend leaving the bottom bare. Bacteria will easily grow on that and it’s easier to clean the pvc.

I got my cham from screameleons as well. Victor is a sweetheart. The only thing is I hated the habba haa

Those analoge gauges can be WAY off.
I recomend picking up a digital one from walmart or a hardware store.
The ones with probes are great.

Also in a cage that small, maintaining/creating any kind of temperature/RH gradient is going to be more difficult.
Do you run the fogger 24/7?
What are your mistking cycles/times?

Thanks sher I mist 30sec every 3 hours it must be the cold doin it and I took the mat out after a couple days the crix were hiding from her under it lol . Yes scream is amazing they helped me thru her not eating for the first week they stand by thier chams . I'm going to get a male at the show in April I can't wait :)

Yeah I heard they can be snake I'm going to buy a digital ASAP n see . No I don't run the fogger all the time I read too much moisture is bad for her n her skin so just for a few hours after I get out of work . Mist king runs 30sec every 3hrs and I have the dual nozzle so it's plenty of water

I usually mist for like 2-3 mins. Make it all soaking wet, and then let it dry up. I think that's how it works in tropics.

I have a question. What is in the tub in the bottom of the enclosure? Also what are you using in the dome light on the top right side of the enclosure? I just want to make sure you are not using some type of heat lamp at night.

Nothing now besides 2 plants it was reptile carpet but got rid of it after a few days and the other light is just rested up there it's for my leopard gecko . And with that 30 seconds it pumps out all over everything definitly sufficient water for that size enclosure any more and my living room will be flooded wen I get home from work lol ImageUploadedByTapatalk1329880313.030850.jpg
