Hey What Bulb Should I get?

I have a Jacksons Chameleon and a Panther Chameleon for my birthday coming next weekend (My birthday is today!) here are the bulbs that I saw and I don't know what one to get. Links below

you need a 5.0 uvb and a heat bulb for basking (80 watts depending on size of cage). If you live where it is usallly hot, putting a cage outside really has beneifits because they are getting direct sunlight and depending on where you live, they only need to come in during the winter.

The Jackson and Panther both can have a 5.0 UVB bulb. But, the Jackson's is a montane species and will not require as high of temps as the panther. So, I would start with a 60 watt bulb for basking on both. That will always be plenty for the Jackson's even as an adult. The Panther will want higher temp basking areas as he grows, but if you are getting him as juvenile, a lower wattage is better for now. Happy Birthday!!

You might have to play with it. While it is cold, it may not be an issue. While he is a juvenile, you will want the ambient temp to be 70-75 degrees and basking at 75-80 degrees. So use what ever bulb will help keep you in this range.

oh then his basking is perfect its at like 77 - 79
